  • Make a “writing box” that is always available to your child so that they can write or draw whenever they’re in the mood! Fill a shoebox with different writing materials and paper. You can even take it in the car.

WRITING
  • Young children need to build strength in their fingers in order to hold a crayon. Using their fingers to push, pull, pound, grab, roll, pinch or squeeze helps make them stronger.
     

  • Give your child the chance to try lots of different early writing tools: crayons, chalk, pencils, sand, water, paint brushes, notebooks, junk mail, books and paper.
