  • Play is not expensive! Balls, empty boxes, scarves, pots and pans can be used for play. Look around your home and see what items you can find.

PLAYING
  • You are your child’s best playmate!

  • Play is the way your child learns. Play is healthy, it’s fun, and it’s important.

  • Balls are fun: bright colored balls, soft balls, bouncy balls. Hold them, squeeze them, bounce them, throw them.

  • Back and forth play helps your child learn about talking and listening, turn-taking and how to have a conversation.

  • Follow your child’s lead. Play peek-a-boo, tag or pretend tea with stuffed animals.
