READING
  • Choose books with simple, colorful, bright illustrations.

  • Keep books everywhere – in the car, the diaper bag, the toy box, grandma’s house. Let your baby play with books as often as she likes.

  • Make reading a part of your daily routine. Read every night at bedtime or just before a nap or when your baby (or you!) needs quiet time.

  • Let your child choose the book – even if she chooses the same book over and over. Children learn through repetition.

  • Try these titles: Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? by Dr. Seuss, Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson
